The sex lives of moths (and other things that go ‘bump’ in the night)!
Location: Belgrave Lake Park
Date: Friday October 20th
Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Have you ever wondered about the sex lives of moths? Pondered their penchant for chucking a spanner into politics? Considered where on Earth do they even go half the year?! If so (or not) this is your chance to ask these and so many other great nocturnal critter questions whilst getting out and engaging in some citizen science.
This night walk from the MotHs Hub to Belgrave Lake Park (about 3 km - very steep paved path) will explore the nocturnal life in our forests. With luck, participants will see endangered Greater Gliders, glow-in-the-dark scorpions, and some moths with a penchant for disrupting democracy.
Dress for the weather with comfortable sturdy shoes and bring a torch!
If the walk there & back is too intense for you, but you still want to do the critter spotting, please register and send a message to Leslie (0405657817) that you will meet us on Old Reservoir Road.
If you’re unable to join us on the night, or just want to contribute to citizen science, check out these resources from Zoos Victoria to find out more about the Bogong Moths and how you can help! https://tinyurl.com/sy9vzpf8
