From time to time, we receive requests from university researchers seeking our help to reach eligible participants. We have connected researchers with potential participants on topics such as:

The sole involvement of Mums of the Hills, Inc. is in promoting the research initiatives to assist researchers attain appropriate population cross sections. We only ever promote research that has received ethics approval from the respective institutions. Plain language/patient information statements are also provided. This study by Charles Sturt University is looking at pregnancy, birth and motherhood choices. If you are female and 18 years of age or older, the researchers would appreciate your involvement.
Effects of menopause and hormone replacement therapy on glucose metabolism and weight regulation
This study by Monash University aims to determine measure brown fat activity in individuals with ovaries across different stages of reproductive life. The study will determine whether a decline in brown fat activity occurs at menopause and whether menopausal hormone therapy (MHT; previously known as hormone replacement therapy (HRT)) can reverse this.
The impact of non-consensual condom removal (NCCR) on sexual self-esteem, relationship communication and relationship functioning
The research is being conducted to get a better understanding of the impact of non-consensual condom removal (also known as stealthing) on sexual relationships, communication styles and selfesteem. Nonconsensual condom removal (NCCR) is when someone removes a condom before or during a sexual encounter without informing you. Many states, territories and countries now consider this a form of sexual assault.

Working Out Dads
Working Out Dads Acceptability Study is being done by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Tweddle Child & Family Health Service. The aim of the project is to gather data on whether fathers of children with additional needs or a disability find Working Out Dads acceptable, and explore fathers’ satisfaction with the program.
