The Role Of Insurance in Emergency Preparedness

Come along to this free event by the Yarra Ranges Council and learn about how your insurance fairs in a disaster.

The Yarra Ranges Council Recovery Team is running a Community Connection event with a focus on Insurance and emergencies. The two presentations by Eastern Community Legal Centre and the Salvation Army Emergency Services will commence at 2pm with plenty of time for questions.

Some of the topics to be covered are:

  • What you need to look for in your policy

  • What does your insurance cover

  • What doesn’t your insurance cover

  • Renters and insurance

  • The insurance claims process

  • Emergency grants

  • Under insured and the things you need to take into consideration
