Circle of Security Attachment-Based Parenting Group

Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you.

  • Location: TLC Birth and Beyond, Upper Ferntree Gully

  • Date: Wednesday February 16 (10 week program)

  • Start: 6:30pm - 8pm

All parents at some time or another, feel lost or without a clue about what their child might need from them or why their behaviour can feel so challenging. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

Learning Objectives of the Program:

  • Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs

  • Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

  • Enhance the development of your child's self-esteem

  • Honour your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Decades of university-based research have confirmed that secure children grow up having more empathy, improved self-esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to manage difficult emotions. “The Circle of Security is circling the globe as an intervention to help parents raise their children with love, warmth and emotional intelligence.” ~ Dr. Dan Siegel, Child Psychiatrist and Co-Author of ‘The Whole Brain Child’ and ‘Parenting from the Inside Out’.
