Being a mother comes with its own unique set of challenges and stresses, often leading us to seek comfort and relaxation in a glass of wine at the end of a busy day. But what if there was another way to cope with the “mother's load" and find relaxation that truly serves us?
Join us for a light-hearted, non-judgemental talk where Emma Gilmour shares her personal journey of transforming her relationship with wine. Emma will discuss how she moved from a routine of weekend and some weekday drinking to a life where wine has become a small and irrelevant part. This talk isn't about becoming alcohol-free but about discovering alternative ways to unwind and manage stress that feel good for you wherever you want your relationship with alcohol to be.
Key Topics:
Mummy Wine Culture: Understanding the societal pressures and finding healthier coping mechanisms.
The Mother’s Load: How to manage the daily demands and stress of motherhood without relying on wine.
Life-Changing Insights: Two pieces of information that helped Emma shift from someone who needed wine to enjoy life to someone who can take or leave it.
Positive Changes: Letting go of habits that aren’t serving and learning new, supportive strategies.
Impact on Kids: Research on drinking around children and providing teens with alcohol at home.
Emma's approach is fun, relatable, and encouraging, aimed at mothers who want to explore new ways to unwind and care for themselves. You'll leave with practical tips and inspiration to help you make choices that feel really good for you.
