Have you ever wanted to learn the basics of using a chainsaw? Do you own a chainsaw but don't know how to properly maintain it? This is the workshop for you.

Thanks to Stihl Shop, Hallam who will demonstrate and host this 2 hour session, you will learn:

• how to sharpen your chainsaw chain;

• how to correctly clean, lubricate and tighten your chainsaw chain

• the recommended safety clothing needed when using a chainsaw

In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn important chainsaw features and methods that will keep you as safe as possible, all while in the controlled environment at the Stihl Shop Hallam*.

This session is best suited for those:

• with existing chainsaw experience wanting to refresh their knowledge

• wanting an introduction to using a chainsaw with a view to taking further training.

Stihl Shop Hallam will also have some specials specifically for MotHs on the night. As we head into the hill's traditionally windier months, this workshop will be incredibly important for us all. Spaces are limited so please book your space fast.

*The controlled environment is not indicative of what you are likely to experience in a natural environment situation. Further training is recommended to understand how to use a chainsaw depending on the situation, environment and conditions you are in.
