Intrinsic Midwifery
Intrinsic Midwifery supports women and their families through pregnancy and into the postnatal period. We service most of Cardinia Shire, Casey Council, Yarra Ranges Council, Greater Dandenong Council, Knox Council and Maroondah Council (other areas on request).
Hi I’m Fiona, an Endorsed Midwife, who is able to provide pregnancy care, postnatal care, and/or education sessions about all things pregnancy, labour, birth & postnatal/baby. These appointments may be eligble for Medicare rebates, and are provided in the comfort of your own home.
I’m able to order recommended pregnancy investigations, follow up results and refer to other healthcare practitioners, as required. I bring all necessary equipment required to assess & care for you and your baby at home.
I’m Providing:
Private Antenatal Care:
Scheduled visits occur from early to late pregnancy, (extras as required), including a birth planning visit.
Shared Pregnancy Care:
Shared Maternity Care with Intrinsic Midwifery and Monash Health is also now available. With scheduled visits occurring throughout pregnancy, between Intrinsic Midwifery and the Shared Care Clinics at Monash Health (Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Monash Medical Centre & Sandringham Hospital).
Postnatal Care:
Early visits may be daily/2nd daily post birth, with weekly appointments following, up to 6 weeks & 6 days.
